Mary Alice Richardson, 62, of 1526 Grandview Road, Martinsville, died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2001, at her home.
She was born July 22, 1939, in Pittsylvania County, daughter of the late Rev. M.E. Arrington and the late Maggie Barbour Arrington. A sister, Geneva Harmond, also preceded her in death.
She was a member of Freedom Baptist Church, and she had worked at the former Lacy Manufacturing.
Surviving are her husband, Robert G. Richardson of the home; one daughter, Connie Kay Christman of West Palm Beach, Fla.; two sons, Rickey Dean Richardson and Robert Glen Richardson Jr., both of West Palm Beach; two brothers, Mayland Emmett of La Mesa, Calif., and L.D. Arrington of Rocky Mount; and six grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Freedom Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Whiteheart officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park.
The family will receive friends at Freedom Baptist Church from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. today and other times at the home.
