He was born Nov. 17, 1923 in Pike County, KY, a son of the late Terry D. and Ollie Boggs Ingold Sr. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Pacific Theater with the U.S. Army. Before retiring, he was employed with W.H. Sullivan Plumbing Co. and was a member of Archdale United Methodist Church. On April 4, 1942, he married the former Doris Culler, who survives of the home.
Also surviving are daughters and son-in-laws, Regina and Richard Terrell of Fuquay-Varina, Terry and Larry Gates of Trinity; son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Debra Ingold of Cary; grandchildren, Brian and Pam Terrell, Kim and Clif Roseman, Ashley and Mark Rogers, David and Amber Gates, Darrell and Erin Gates, Tricia and Jeff Rogers and Peter and Christy Ingold and five great grandchildren and two nieces.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale, by the Rev. Mary John Dye. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262 or Archdale United Methodist Church, 11543 N. Main Street, Archdale, NC 27263.
