C. B. FITZPATRICK, 57, DIES IN SHREWSBURY - Charles B. Fitzpatrick, 57, former Crompton & Knowles Loom Works foreman and for a quarter of a century a worker for the Democratic party in Central Massachusetts died early today at his home in Shrewsbury. Mr. Fitzpatrick had been a delegate to the last two Democratic state conventions and had served many years as chairman of the Shrewsbury Democratic Town Committee. He was born in Southbridge and had lived 30 years in Worcester. The funeral will be from Callahan Bros., Monday morning, with a high mass of requiem at 9 a. m. in St. Ann's Church in Shrewsbury, followed by burial in St. John's Cemetery. Mr. Fitzpatrick is survived by his widow, Anna M. (McDermott) Fitzpatrick; four sons, Joseph C., James F. and Charles J. Fitzpatrick of Worcester and Bernard C. Fitzpatrick of Shrewsbury; four daughters, Sarah M. of Shrewsbury, Grace W., wife of P. E. Vigneaux of Worcester, Margaret, wife of Albert Lemire of Waterbury, Conn., and Mary M. of Shrewsbury; a brother, Joseph of Colorado; two sisters, Sarah W., wife of Michael Lacava, and Mrs. Anna Cooney, both of Worcester, and eight grandchildren. He was the son of the late James and Anna (Gallagher) Fitzpatrick. He resigned as chairman of the Shrewsbury town committee three years ago. He was a vice president of Southern Worcester County Democratic Club and a former member of the Democratic State Committee. He had been a foreman on the Blackstone Valley development PWA project for three years. The family home has been at 11 Harrison Lane, also known as Sleepy Hollow, since he moved to Shrewsbury nine years ago.
