RAMBY, Shirley Anna Our beloved mother Shirley Ramby, joined her husband of 61 years, Jackie Ramby, in heaven on September 8, 2013. Shirley was born on October 6, 1931 in Dayton, Ohio as the first of seven children to Fred and Mary Wessel. She graduated from Julienne Catholic High School in 1949. In 1952 she married and together they raised a family of six children in Bellbrook, Ohio. Shirley and her family enjoyed over 30 years together at their family cottage at Indian Lake in Ohio. She and Jack retired to the Gulf Coast of Florida in 1985 and lived there until relocating to Murfreesboro, Tennessee in 2010. In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, she enjoyed attending church services, bowling, and was a member of the Red Hat Society.

Survivors include her children and their spouses Christine M. (Jerry) Spinner, Auburntown, Tennessee; Joseph L. (Marie) Ramby, Sevierville, Tennessee; David M. (Eliana) Ramby, Indian Land, South Carolina; Jackie A. Ramby, Dayton, Ohio; Teresa A. Ramby, Christiansburg, Virginia; Angela C. (Scott) Telford, Murfreesboro, Tennessee; three sisters; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and a host of other loving family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother and two sisters.

Visitation at Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg, Virginia followed by a mass of Christian burial at St. Jude Catholic Church. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Nashville.
