The funeral of Mrs. Louisa Arnott Lax, wife of the well known coal operator, John (Jack) Lax, of Hungtington, W.Va., was held at Greenlawn cemetery, Nelsonville at two o'clock that afternoon. Mrs. Lax had been ill for several months and with her family came to Nelsonville from Huntington, May 1st, to be among old friends with the hope that she might regain her health. Beside the husband, five children are living, Mrs. Maud Raybould, Margaret, Flo, Plummer, and Marie. Miss Margaret is well known in Athens, where she was book-keeper for Cline's pharmacy a number of years.
