Local Resident Dies Here Today

Mrs Lillie C. Reedy Pioneer Oklahoma Resident dies following illness of two weeks

Mrs. Lillie C. Reedy age 56 years died at the Payne County Masonic Hospital this morning at 6 o'clock following an illness of two weeks.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the First Baptist Church with Reverend P. W. Murphy pastor in charge. Rev. Murphy will be assisted by Reverend M. E. Hatchet of Agra. Burial under the direction of the H. A. Davis Funeral directors will be made in the Oak Grove Cemetery south of Agra on the family lot.

Mrs. reedy was born in Love County, Oklahoma Indian Territory, August 13, 1886 and came with her parents to Lincoln County, oklahoma, when a child and settled near Agra.

She was married to C. T. Reedy in 1908 at Chandler, Okla., (she) and her husband lived on a farm five miles south of Agra until 1936 when they moved to Cushing and resided on East 9th street extension or Rural Route No. 1. She was an active member of the First Baptist church.

Surviving relatives are her husband C. T. Reedy; three sons Curtic Reedy, Cahone, Colorado, and Technical Sergant Virgil Reedy, stationed at Camp Swift, Texas; three daughters, Mrs. Ruby Johnson Cahone, Colorado, Mrs. Wanda Green, Cushing, Miss Orvena Reedy of the home; four brothers, H. M. Cabe, Seminole, Oklahoma, L. Cabe, Bonny Cabe, and Lynn Cabe of McMinnville, Oregon; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Matthews of Tryon; Mrs. Velma Ashcraft of Shawnee; seven grandchildren and other relatives.
