She was born on April 13, 1950 in Ranger, Texas, to Lee Q. and Mabel A. (Smith) Greer.
Alice married Ralph P. Briggs on August 31, 1973, in Fort Worth.
Alice was a member of the Heritage Baptist Church in Georgetown and worked for Lone Star Hospice as a Secretary in Round Rock. Up until the time of her illness, she volunteered at the Williamson County Animal Shelter.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph P. Briggs of Georgetown; three sons, John Briggs of Ranger, Joey Briggs of Jarrell, and Jerry Briggs of Upland, California; daughter, Cathy Matta and husband Tony of Georgetown; and also 12 grandchildren.
The funeral service was 10 a.m. Monday, August 29, 2005, at Heritage Baptist Church in Georgetown with Reverend Don Ledbetter officiating. Burial was in Weir Cemetery in Weir.
