Box Elder, July 5--On Monday, June 28, occurred the death of Mrs. G.R. Talbert at her residence, about five miles southwest of town. Her baby, only a few days old, survived its mother but a day, passing away Tuesday. Mrs. Talbert came here in September, 1914, and during her short residence here had made many friends.

The funeral was held Thursday afternoon and besides Mrs. Viola Turnham and Mrs. Dora Smoke of Long Lake, Minn., sisters of Mrs. Talbert, who came in answer to telegrams, was attended by a large number of friends and neighbors. Many beautiful floral offerings were received from the east.

Burial was in Box Elder cemetery. Mrs. Talbert was 36 years old, being born in Minneapolis March 3, 1879. She married in Chrystal Bay, Minn., 18 years ago. She leaves to mourn her loss a daughter, Mabel, a son, Clinton, a husband, two sisters and two brothers in Minnesota, one brother in South Dakota, a mother and father and a host of friends. Verne Mott, who has a homestead southwest of town, is a cousin of Mrs. Talbert.
