James H. Bangley Jr. SUFFOLK
James H. Bangley Jr., 77, died July 14, 2005. At the age of 15, Mr. Bangley was the projectionist for Suffolk's Cavalier Movie Theatre. He then went on to work the projectors for Suffolk's Chadwick Theatre and Palace Theatre. He later went on to work at WLPM. He was also a former partner of Suffolk Radio and TV. All of Mr. Bangley's work experience led him to WTKR Channel 3, where he would eventually retire as chief engineer. He was a native of Suffolk and a member of Westminster Reformed Presbyterian Church, where he was an elder and formerly taught bible studies at church and at home. He was a member of the American Modelers Association, the Suffolk Model Aviation Club and Brainbusters of Norfolk. He was also a former member of the Suffolk Volunteer Fire Company. He was the son of the late, Ethel M. Bangley and James H. Bangley Sr. and was also predeceased by a son, Jimmy K. Bangley. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mary Frances Brinkley Bangley of Suffolk; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Bill Edwards of Ivor, Va.; son and fiancee, Glenn V. Bangley and Dana Cambell of Stanardsville, Va.; grandchildren, Natalie Bangley, Phaedra Bangley, Rhiannon Edwards, Alex Edwards and Will Edwards; brothers, Robert L. Bangley Sr. of Suffolk and the Rev. Bernard K. Bangley of Lynchburg, Va. Friends may join the family Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and other times at the residence. A funeral will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Westminster Reformed Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Ruffin Alphin. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
