COLUMBIA STATION - Nellie Ellena Watson, 97, of Fremont and formerly of Wooster, died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2005, in Bethesda Care Center, Fremont.

Memorial services will be held at the Church of the Saviour, Wooster Saturday, Sept. 3, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Jerry Durham officiating.

Friends may call one hour prior to the time of the service at the church.

Burial will be in the Wooster Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, Wooster.

Those who wish may make contributions to Hospice of Memorial Hospital, 430 S. Main St., Clyde 43410 or to the Westwood Garden Club, in care of Deb Delaney, treasurer, 141 Larue Drive, Apple Creek 44606.

She was born Jan. 20, 1908, in Columbiana County, to John J. and Zetella B. (Martin) Casey.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, former member of the Order of Eastern Star, the Arema Club and the Westwood Garden Club. She was also a former member of the Wooster Community Hospital Auxiliary, a volunteer with the American Red Cross, and a former member of the Election Board.

Surviving are a son, James (Carol) Watson of The Villages, Fla.; a daughter, Joan (Paul) Schmidt of Fremont; four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Wilbur J. Watson, whom she married June 19, 1937, died in 1964, and brothers John and Wilford Casey, also died previously.
