Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Mon. in the First Baptist Church, Darlington, with burial following in Mt. Elon Cemetery.
Mr. Baxley was born in Georgetown County, son of the late Charles Andrew and Belle Wilcox Baxley. He was married to the late Rhea Lloyd Baxley. He had retired from the building supplies business and was a former deacon and present member of the Vance Hardin Sunday School Class of the First Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Betty Charles Scoville of Rock Hill and Mrs. Peggy Gandy of Oklahoma City, OK; 3 sisters, Mrs. Athol Altman of Johnsonville, Mrs. Nell Bruorton and Mrs. Virginia Lowrimore, both of Georgetown; also, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
