DAR accepts this as the correct cemetery. As for the Birth Date, it is in the Bible of her Grandparents , Samuel Knight & Hannah Cain. I believe the other memorial is an attempt to take this one from me. A member of the Knight family has gone to the cemetery in Oklahoma . The Bible is being held by Gary Dale Knight who lives in Oklahoma.
Amanda's mother was the daughter of Samuel Knight 1770-1850. I was so very lucky to particitate in a group that researched only families that came over in one of the three ships that William Penn owned. The Knight family came in 1682 with Giles Knight & Mary English. This is very well researched by Quaker Books. I took advantage of this gift and researched 16 generations, the last I did not really think was ours so I did not record it. The oldest date was 1350.
There is a Bible that dates back to 1770 and is held by Gary Dale Knight, even thou he won't admit having it, and I don't blame him. He would be over run by people.
The Knight family is also recorded up in a book about Able Knight 1715-1810. What a prize for all of us.

My Great Grandparents were JamesPerry Knight & Laura Belle Jacobs. Her family goes back to a minister and the Third Haven MM where William Penn was known to attend meetings where he was in Maryland. His name was James Fairbanks Sr.
I have never been this lucky to record this much on all 19 of my family tree's and do not expect to ever do it again
