Ronald Puccio, 68, of 593 Ar- lington St., Apt. 2, died Thursday morning, Sept. 8, 2005, at home.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, with Pastor Harry Johnson officiating. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Dubuque Memorial Gardens, South of Dubuque.

Mr. Puccio was an Army veteran and worked for the former Dubuque Packing Co. for many years until his retirement. He also was a talented musician and played in many area bands with his brothers and cousins.

He was born on May 2, 1937, in Dubuque, son of Joseph and Ethel (Davis) Puccio. He married Sheila C. Ryan on June 28, 1958, at Nativity Catholic Church; she preceded him in death on March 2, 2005.

He was a member of the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 150A and the Musician's Union.

He was an avid hunter, fisherman, bowler and C Ber who's handle was "Mr. Hoof".

Surviving are his children, Rhonda (Mark) Wernimont, Kim Wieseler, Angela (Randy Wieseler) Puccio, Steve Puccio, Wendy (Don Hennessy) Puccio, all of Dubuque; grandchildren, Troy (Jill McConnell) Wernimont, Kalyn (Brandon Budde) Wernimont, Joshua (Megan Carter) Puccio, Alayna Olin, Paul Alan Jr. Ronald, Andrew and Arron Cole, Selena Courtney-Puccio, all of Dubuque; brothers, Joseph Puccio, John (Mary) Puccio, Donald (Rosie) Puccio, Thomas (Veronica) Puccio, Rodney (Cindy) Carr and Allan (Dawn) Carr; sisters, Barbara Clendenen and Shirley Weigman; and his faithful dog, Cooper Wayne.

He also was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Kenneth Wiesler; and two brothers, Samuel and William.

A Ronald Puccio Memorial Fund has been established.

Thank-you to the Nurses and Respiratory Therapy staff of Mercy Home Health Care and to Dr. Luke Dolan and Dr. Timothy King for all the care they gave to Ronnie.
