Isaie Barrie, 87, retired Sumner township farmer, died at the home of a son Arthur here at 11 p.m. Tuesday after a short illness.

He had resided in Kankakee for many years before making his home with the son four years ago.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m Saturday from St. Rose Church in Kankakee with burial in St. George cemetery.

The body is at the Senesac funeral home in Kankakee where friends may call after noon Thursday and until the hour of the rites.

Mr. Barrie was born Dec. 10, 1862, near Deselm the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nalbert Barrie.

His first wife the former Marie Ponton died 47 years ago. In 1941 he was married to the former Della Remillard who survives along with the son, Arthur; two daughters, Mrs. Laura Gadbois and Mrs. Addrien Barrie, both of Kankakee; a brother, Desiere Barrie of Kankakee; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
