OBITUARY: Spring Hill Funeral Home, 17 Sep 2013
Hallie Mae McBroom, age 86 of Nashville, passed away September 14, 2013. Mrs. McBroom was born in Baxter, TN on April 7, 1927 to Tandy Harris and Margie Frances Edmonds Harris. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting, and working puzzles, though her passion in life was spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cecil Franklin McBroom; her brothers, Johnny, Bill and Benton Harris. She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Chip Wood) West and Vickie Burden; brother, Bobby (Diane) Harris; sister, Louise (Bobby) Glover; sisters-in-law, Dimple McBroom, Patsy Sowell and Betty Harris; grandchildren, Ben (Colleen) West, Jason Pence-McBroom and Ashley (Patrick) Vanderpool; great-grandchildren, Hailey, Chase and Logan Vanderpool, Nicholas and Emily West; and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of Mrs. McBroom's life will be conducted at 2 PM, Wednesday, September 18, 2013 from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 PM until the time of service on Wednesday at Spring Hill Funeral Home.
