Mrs. Virginia Clark

The Parisian edition Friday, June 15, 1934

Rev. D. T. Spaulding conducted funeral services Saturday afternoon for Mrs. Virginia Clark, 79, at Oak Hill Church. Burial was in the cemetery there. Mrs. Clark, a native of Henry-co. died at her home in Memphis Friday. She moved to Memphis in 1918 and made her home at 318 Walker-ave. She was the widow of the late John P. Clark. Grandsons of Mrs. Clark were pallbearers.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. J. W. McDaniel and Mrs. W. L. Puckett; two brothers, Sam and Jack McGehee; three sons, Rev. John P Clark and Eugene Clark of Paris, and Sam L Clark of Memphis; five daughters, Mrs. R. H. Pitts, Oklahoma City; Mrs. D. S Brinkley, Wichita; Mrs. W. F. Christenberry, Knoxville; Mrs. J. E Ball and Mrs. L. B Stebleton of Memphis; and 36 grandchildren.

Those out-of-town attending the funeral were Dr. and Mrs. W. F. Christenberry of Knoxville, Mrs. John Clark of Martin and Mr. and Mrs. L. B Stebleton of Memphis.
