Caroline Gilkey DeLano born in Hamilton County Ohio married Nathan Stanley DeLano. In thier early years 2 of Nathans siblings lived with them after parents Richard and Jane Dill DeLano died. Caroline lived on the tobacco farm and raised the children. According to her diary dated 1888-1889 the family was close and all pitched in to work the farm. Some left early to explore the west while others stayed to work the farm. Son Alvin Cecil DeLano and his wife Carrie Powell DeLano migrated to Alabama in early 1900's. Son Pascal Angus DeLano was out west being a "cowboy" as Caroline put it. The family plot contains 5 members with no markers for any of them. Information was confirmed by a findagrave volunteer Wayne who looked them up in the Cemetery Records. Also in this cemetery is son Stanley Gilkey DeLano (lot 218)His wife Nettie Hastings and son Chester DeLano, as well as Alvin DeLano (lot 223 not sure if headstone here)son of Alvin Cecil DeLano and Carrie Powell DeLano
