Ira Harrison came to this state in 1885 and made his home here. The community in which he lived knows of his sterling worth, his christian integrity, and his open heartedness. No appeal was ever made to him in vain and no one sent away emptyhanded. Even in the short years he was always ready to divide with his neighbors. About 2 years ago, He met with an accident a fall from which he never recovered. Confined to his room and bed for the last 2 years. his wife has been his constant companion doing all she could. All that loving care and medical attention could do was done. His constant words were O that I could go home and be at rest. And on Friday morning the tired spirit slipped away to be with the god that gave it.
Ira Harrison was a faithful member of the Box Elder Me church since 1885, hea having united with the church under Rev. Kleeberger. From Mccook Tribuene privided by William Yates.
