William Morris "Bill" West, Jr. age 80 of Nashville, passed away September 19, 2013.

Mr. West was born in Bremerton, WA on April 11, 1933 to William Morris, Sr. and Vera Katherine Pemberton West.

A loving husband, father and grandfather, he attended Tennessee Tech as an electronics engineer and was an accomplished steel guitarist. He will be remembered for his inventive personality and ability to build and fix just about anything.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, William Morris "Mo" West, III.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda McClure West; sons, Richard Kerry (Kenna) West, Alan Dale West and Walter Scott West; daughter, Shelly West Hood; grandchildren, Tess (Jeremy) Frizzell Bishop, May, Cody, Skye and Graham West, Cooper and Grady Hood; great-grandchildren, Fable and Gatsby Bishop and Emma West.

A celebration of Mr. West's life will be conducted at 12 PM, Monday, September 23, 2013 from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 2 PM until 6 PM on Sunday, September 22 and from 10 AM until the time of service Monday at Spring Hill Funeral Home.
