He was born July 4, 1936 in Danville, the son of Donald and Thelma Musson Pollock. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Loretta Lapenas and five brothers, Alva Pollock, Donald Pollock, Bill Pollock, Edward Pollock and Wendell Pollock. He married Martha Boggess on June 18, 1977 in Danville. She survives.
He also is survived by a daughter, Teresa Pollock; son, Robert Pollock Jr.; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harold (Rosalee) Pollock and Walter Pollock; one sister, Helen Brown and several nieces and nephews.
He worked at Teepak as a foreman for 17 years and later worked at the Public Safety Building for 10 years until he retired in 1992. He also worked for several years as a funeral director assistant at Wolfe Funeral Homes.
