She was born November 8, 1947 in Gonzales to the late Paul and Luz Leal Cerda. She was a driver for the Gonzales Senior Citizens and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She married Richard Hidalgo, Jr. on December 28, 1968 in Gonzales,Texas.
Survivors include her husband; daughters, Olivia Marie Hidalgo and Jessica Ann Hidalgo, both of Gonzales; sons, Richard Gabriel Hidalgo III, and his wife Lavinia of San Antonio,Texas and Sgt. Joseph Isaac Hidalgo of Fort Hood; sisters, Rachel Roderiquez of Lake Charles, LA and Susie Cerda Molina of Gonzales; one brother, Paul Cerda and his wife Delores "Dee" Cerda of Gonzales; 5 grandchildren, Felicity Hidalgo, David Hidalgo, Jillian Hidalgo, Isaac Hidalgo and Hailey Hidalgo.
