Norman D. Arenz, 72, 318 Boys St., Streator, died at noon May 5, 2002, in St. Mary's Hospital, Streator.

A Mass of Christian burial will be al 11 a.m. May 8, 2002, in Immaculate Conception Church with the Rev. Patrick Riordan officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery. Full military rites will be provided by the American Legion Leslie G. Woods Post 217 and Veterans of Foreign War Post 1492.

There will be no visitation. Elias Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Arenz was born Oct. 27. 1929, in Streator, to Carl E. and Sadie (Horner) Arenz. He married Ann E. Flink on Oct. 8, 1955.

He worked in auto sales in Strealor for more than 40 years, employed at A&H Motors, Doug Carter Buick and Pontiac, and Rick Rutledge Buiek/Pontiac, retiring in 1988. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1950 to 1954. He was a member of Mnsgr. George A. Dzuryo Knights of Columbus 790, Streator Moose Lodge 372, a life member of B.P.O. Elks 591, a life member of VFW Post 1492, American Legion Leslie G. Woods Post 217, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 645 and La Salle County Farm Bureau. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. He graduated from St. Mary's Grade School and from Streator High School in 1947.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, LeeAnn (Richard) Yuhas of Streator and Linda (Anthony) Enno Jr. of Streator; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be directed to St. Mary's Hospice or the donor's choice.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Yuhas, A.J. Enno. Steve Puetz, Mart Puetz, Robert Swartz and Gary Snow.
