Before retiring in 1974, he worked as a welder for 30 years at General Electric. Mr. Beerbower was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, receiving a Purple Heart for wounds suffered in Germany. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans and VFW Post 4789 in North East.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Beerbower; two sisters, Beulah Aken and Irene McGrath; a granddaughter and a great-grandson.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Ruth L. Bedow Beerbower, whom he married Feb. 15, 1969; two sons, Daniel E. Beerbower of Ripley, N.Y., and James H. Beerbower of Cambridge Springs; three daughters, Eleanor I. Dotson of Shreve, Ohio, Joyce L. Wingard of Tampa, Fla., and Judy M. Olsen of Albion; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Burial with full military honors will be at North East Cemetery.
