Chico Enterprise, Tuesday Evening, June 13, 1944, pg 3 col 4: W. LeRossignol, of Paradise, Dies. Walter B. LeRossignol, 59, of Chico and Paradise, died last night after an extended illness. LeRossignol has been a well known resident of Chico and Paradise since 1898.
LeRossignol was born at Boston, Mass., December 26, 1884. When he first came to California he made his home in Oroville, later moving to Chico, taking a position with the Vadney Department Store. For the last number of years he has lived int eh Paradise community.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Marian Rand LeRossignol of Paradise, and the following children. Harry LeRossignol, of Sacramento, Walter LeRossignol, of Magalia, Mrs. Audrey Heidrich, of Hotchkiss, Colorado, Edwin LeRossignol and Doris LeRossignol, both of Paradise, two brothers, Harry LeRossignol, of Stotehton, Mass., and Richard LeRossignol of Lander, Wyo., and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist church in Paradise, with Rev. G.C. Harms as pastor. Interment will follow in the Chico cemetery.
