Stewart Abeita, age 56, of LCO, died Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Hayward Area Memorial Hospital.

Stewart was born in Chicago, IL on January 16, 1956, the son Augustine and Margaret (Corbine) Abeita. He was raised by his aunt and uncle Grace and William Winters. Stewart attended school in Chicago before moving back to the New Post area where he resided. He worked for the LCO Casino for several years. Stewart was united in marriage to Lisa Quaderer in 1993.

He is survived by his wife Lisa; sons Daniel, Brandon and William Abeita; daughter Rebecca (Brad) Abeita all of LCO; granddaughter Rayna & Vayva Abeita; brothers Augustine Dave (Tamara) Abeita of Albuquerque, NM, Gary Philip Abeita, Vaughn Abeita-Peppey both of Milwaukee, Gerald Wayne Abeita of Minneapolis; sisters Valerie Suhr of Milwaukee, Donna Jean Abeita of Madison; many nephews and nieces.

Stewart is preceded in death by his biological parents; foster parents William & Grace Winters; brother Billy Winters.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 19, 2012 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in New Post with Fr. Gregory Hopefl officiating. Burial will be in New Post Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at New Post Senior Center, with a scripture service at 6:30 p.m.

Honorary casket bearers will be Rayna Abeita, Devin Begay, Barb DeMarr, Tami DeMarr, Wilbur Miller, Cheryl Quaderer, Darcy Quaderer, Dena Quaderer, Diane Quaderer and Jason Quaderer.

Casket bearers are Jeff Billyboy, Ryan Carley, Cody DeMarr, Joseph DeMarr, Oliver DeMarr, Richard DeMarr Jr. and Les Quaderer.
