Henry R. Diekow, 79, of Oak Park, died Saturday in a hospital. Balboa Cremation Services was in charge, with ashes to be scattered at sea. No services were scheduled.
Mr. Diekow was born in Wisconsin, lived in the county 21 years, and had been a children's shoe salesman for more than 60 years, last working for Irving's Orthopedics. He retired last year.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret; three sons, Dwaine, of Irvine, Calif., James, of Costa Mesa, and Jerome, of Fountain Valley, Calif.; a daughter, Elizabeth Bonin of Ariz.; a brother, George, of Wis.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
