Gilbert Keith White, 73, of Brazoria passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 13, 1939 in Sulfur Springs, TX to Jesse Gilbert White and Merle Frazier White.
He enjoyed golfing, fishing, building birdhouses, doing carpentry work and tending to his plants. He worked for Dow Chemical Company for 32 years. His favorite hobby was genealogy. He would spend hours researching his family's history. He was the chief crew for his son's drag racing.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 52 years, Dorothy Mae White of Brazoria; daughter, Cindy Dorene Reeves and husband Larry of West Columbia; sons, David Keith White and wife Toni of Brazoria, Dennis Eldon White, Sr. and wife Terri of Brazoria; sister, Anna Catherine Talent of Sulfur Springs, TX; brother-in-law, Charles Shoaf and wife Ruth of Copperas Cove, TX; grandchildren, Nicki Malmstrom and Fiancee Matthew Haymier of Holiday Lakes, James Myers, Jr. and wife Angela of Lake Jackson, Dennis White, Jr. of Brazoria and Kristen Reeves of West Columbia; great grandchildren, Johnathan Malmstrom, Brady, TX, Skyler Myers, Clute, Maddie Hall, Lake Jackson, Daniel Kiser and Harley Kiser both of Holiday Lakes, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be Sunday, September 22, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Brazoria Cemetery in Brazoria, TX.
