Previous military training, Agricultural School, St. Paul. Occupation, farming. Residence, Grand Meadow. Entered service May 26, 1918, at Austin. Assigned to Co. M, 308 Reg. 77th Div. Trained at Camp Lewis and Camp Kearney. Embarked from Brooklyn Navy Yards, Aug. 9, 1918, and arrived at Birkenhead, England, Aug. 21. Went into active service in September, in the Argonne. Wounded Oct. 14, 1918. Under medical care three weeks at Base Hospital No. 27, Angers, Maine-et-Loire, France. Died of wounds.
