Alexander and Ada Bonham, and their children, Robert, David, Wallace, and Myrtle moved to the Big Prairie district in July of 1928 from Calgary. Alexander bought a quarter section SE 30-30-4W5, 5 miles northwest of Cremona. The four children took their schooling at the Big Prairie School. Alexander farmed there until his death in March 1934. Robert and David then worked the farm until David joined the army in 1941. Robert and Wallace stayed on the farm during the war, and then Ada sold the farm in 1945. Ada rented a house for about a year, and then she and Wallace moved to Calgary.
