Obituary:
Alma Ruth Chaney, age 89, of Berryville, AR. went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 with her family by her side. She was born on October 10, 1920 in Green Forest, AR. to William Loss Miller and Minnie Lee "Brawley" Miller. Alma was a life long resident of Carroll County. On January 18, 1939, she was united in marriage with Fred Jefferson Chaney who preceded her in death in May of 1987. She loved attending church, reading her bible, growing flowers, crocheting and watching Christian T.V. She was a model mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her greatest love in life was talking about her relationship with Christ and praying that others would also receive Christ as their Savior. She had been a member of Berryville Assembly Of God since 1956 and taught Sunday School for over 20 years. Alma is survived by one son, Donald Keith Chaney and wife Mary of Berryville, one brother, Chester Miller of Stockton, California, four sisters, Pauline Jones of Boise Idaho, Helen Boone and husband Buddy of Rogers, Geraldine Neil of Lowell, Wanda Autry and husband Marvin of Rogers, two grandchildren, Brad Chaney and wife Danette of Urbanette, Christi Seitz and husband Dale of Grandview, four great-grandchildren, Hunter and Chaney Seitz and Cole and Will Chaney. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Chaney, her parents, sister, Hazel Burr and infant sister Bertie Mae Miller. Celebration Of Life Service, 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Beryville Assembly Of God with Pastor Keith Butler officiating. Interment to follow at Rule Cemetery. Visitation, 5-8 P.M. Friday, December 18th at Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest.
