Jessica Angelique Dejamaris Newkirk, 3-months and 5-days, of the 4500 block of Renwood Court, died November 20, 1998, at Sentara Bayside Hospital.

The daughter of Monique Newkirk of the U.S. Navy and Bobby Newkirk, Jessica was born in Portsmouth Naval Hospital.

Besides her parents, Jessica is survived by her brothers, Rashawd Jarrael and Brandon Xaivier; grandfather, Robert Graham of Newark, N.J.; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse R. Webb of Corona, Calif.; grandmother, Sayvilene Hawkins of Burgaw, N.C.; great-grandmother, Celia Newkirk of Atkinson, N.C.; uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth L. Webb, of Corona; uncle, Douglas E.B. Hawkins of Burgaw; and a godmother, Stephanie Williams.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at P.G. Thomasson Funeral Services Inc. from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
