Olen Tyrone Smith, Sr. was born on December 20, 1957 in Baltimore, Maryland to Mr. Roy Dee Smith and Ms. Patricia Lee Fitzgerald. On Tuesday, June 1, 1993, God chose to remove from our midst Olen Tyrone Smith Sr.
Olen attended Fairmount Hill Vocational High School and graduated June 3, 1977. While attending High School, Olen was a member of the Falcon Basketball Team of Fairmount Hill Vocational High School. Olen received three Trophies; Outstanding Player, Team Leadership and Outstanding Player Of The Year. After completing High School, Olen was employed at ARA Services.
"Big O" as he was fondly called by family and friends was a loving and caring person. "Big O" was always willing to help anyone that needed a helping hand. Olen or "Big O" enjoyed music, eating home cooked meals with family and friends.
Olen accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized.
Olen is survived by his mother: Patricia Lee Fitzgerald; his father: Roy Dee Smith; three sons: Olen Tyrone Smith Jr., Olen Tyrone Smith III and Olen Tyrone Smith IIII; one sister: Robin Jill Dawson; one brother: Raymond A. Jones; three nephews: Donte', Antoins and Rodney; two nieces: La'Shawndra and Shanta; two aunts: Mrs. Mary Etta Wallace and Mrs. Bertha Edwards; one uncle: Robert Lee and a host of other relatives and friends.
