Don Ann Gossum Taylor, 75, of Owensboro, Ky. and formerly of Wingo, Ky. and Mayfield, Ky. passed away at 6:52 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 21, 2013) at the Owensboro Regional Hospital.

She was born Dec. 17, 1937 in Graves County, Ky., the daughter of Willard and Naomi Hopkins Gossum. She married Vernon Taylor on May 14, 1955 in Corinth, Mississippi. He preceded her in death on Jan. 3, 1995. She was also preceded in death by her father, Willard Gossum and brother, Greg Gossum.

Surviving are her son, Terrel (Lorrie) Taylor; daughter, Cathy Collins; mother, Naomi Gossum; three brothers, Doug Gossum, Jeff (Pam) Gossum and Joe Gossum; sisters-in-law, Sue Gossum and Brenda Taylor; aunt, Murl Sisson; grandsons, Derek Taylor, Chad Taylor and Taylor (Shelby) Collins; step-grandchildren, Ricky (Mia) Collins and Dana Carty and step-great-grandchildren, Hunter Collins, Houston Collins, Hagan Collins and Andrew Carty.

She worked at Garan Clothing in Clinton, Ky. for many years. After Garan closed, she decided to pursue and receive a degree in health information technology from Draughons Junior College.
