Everett H. "Junior" Blondell, Jr., 68, Martinsville, passed suddenly from this life on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at the IU Health Morgan Hospital emergency room.

He was born March 1st, 1945 in Pennington Gap, VA to the late Burley and Mary (Snowden) Blondell.

Mr. Blondell retired from Chrysler Corporation in 2001 after 32 years. He enjoyed music; lawn work; detailing his vehicles and especially enjoyed time shared with his grandchildren. He was also a former member of the Country Cousins Band.

He will always be remembered by his loving family including his wife, Carol A. (Hatton) Blondell of Martinsville, whom he married on May 1st, 1965. Also surviving are four sons, Jerry L. Blondell (wife, Melissa), Martinsville; Terry L. Blondell (wife, Cassie), Monrovia; Todd E. Blondell, Martinsville and Doug Lane (wife, Kelly), Mooresville; three brothers, Sidney Blondell (wife, Judy), Brooklyn; Jimmy Blondell, Jonesville, VA and Terry Blondell (wife, Dana), Pennington Gap, VA; four sisters, Martha Kegley, St. Charles, VA; Patricia Carpenter (husband, Coy), Martinsville; Carolyn Baker, Dryden, VA and Barbara Jezior, Columbus, OH; fourteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jeffrey A. Blondell and one granddaughter, Nicole Blondell.

Family & friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, Sept. 25th from 4-8 pm and Thursday, Sept. 26th from 10:00-11:00 am at Neal & Summers Funeral & Cremation Center. A service celebrating his life will began Thursday at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
