Alma Lois Krenek Donner Jordan, age 94, of Lovelady passed away Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Virginia’s Hospice Care in Willis. Alma was born January 9, 1921 in Lovelady to parents, Frank and Elizabeth(Betty) Krenek. She lived in Houston, most of her life, and she moved to Willis for the last eight years. She was a member of the St. Francis of the Tejas Catholic Church of Crockett. She worked for the meat department at Rice Food Market in Houston for 19 years, was an active member of the United Food & Commercial Workers Union, and retired in 1976.

Alma Lois was Volunteer of the year in 1987 for the American Legion, President of the VFW ladies auxiliary and also of the American Legion, Secretary and Treasurer of Salem Cemetery Association and a member of the SPJST. She enjoyed her volunteer work and took it very serious.
She also enjoyed growing flowers and working in the yard. She took pride in her grandchildren. They were her life. She was a “hip” Granny.

She is preceded in death by her first husband R.L. Donner and second husband, Jack Jordan.

Interment in the Evergreen Memorial Park.
