Original death date is listed as Feb 3, 1898. The cemetery card at Oak Hill states he was interred on July 12, 1919 from Layman's Cemetery in Minneapolis. It states on our Oak Hill card others buried in the same grave are: James D. Harvey age 2, Laura Hall, James Beattie and Mrs. Beattie. Guy Walters is the purchaser of the grave site. [Guy Walters is the husband of James Harvey's daughter Maybelle Etta Harvey Walters]. It states death date for James is age 60.

[From Layman's records on Sept 30, 2013.] Death of Baby Girl Harvey was Feb. 3, 1877 and she was moved to Oak Hill with her father on July 12, 1919.
It would appear that one of these records are in-correct as they list the child as a boy, James Harvey, with the same dates. Are Oak Hill records correct that Hall and Beatties are buried with James Harvey?

I can find no James Harvey with what appears to be a 20 Infantry Regiment from New York.

Co. E. 20
NY Infantry

Census records are located for 1860, 1870, 1880, 1900 and beyond which name Clementine as the wife of James D. Harvey and names and ages of children. As in all census records a few minor differences but it does clarify the family and in the 1900 census after James has died Clementine is running a boarding house with a Beatty member..So the Beattie buried along with James must have some significance.

Children of James and Clementine are:

Andrew J. 1870-3/7/1918
William H. 1871-11/11/1950 wife Ida Therrien
Emma Mae 1873-12/14/1953 husband Charles C Patten
John George 1877-?
Ira E. 2/1879-7/10/1918
Ella 3/1882-?
Roy Leslie 4/14/1885-5/14/1967 wife Cora Willey
Myrtle P. 12/1886-12/17/1930 [never married]
Maybelle Etta 10/12/1893-11/21/1969 husband Guy W Walters

Census records state 11 children born and 1 died. Perhaps the James D. age 2 is in fact the youngest child or a grandchild.
