Surrounded by loved ones at his home in Premont, Robert Thompson Storm slipped away peacefully to be with his Lord, Wednesday, April 7, 2010. Bob, as he was known to all, was born in Goodnight, Texas on August 31, 1921 and moved to the Premont area with his family shortly thereafter. As a young man he worked with his father's farm alongside his brothers and sister, where they grew products to deliver to the local markets. He married his sweetheart, Hulene Burr, in 1942 and was blessed with four sons. In the 1950's, he established Storm Dairies, a picturesque scene of lush green grass with Holstein cows dotting the landscape. After selling the dairy in 1975, he and Hulene headed for the mountains of Colorado and Montana until their return to South Texas in 1985 to live.
A true people person, he loved to entertain visitors, his home was always full of family and friends telling stories of the past while enjoying his special home cooking. His evenings were spent with Hulene watching the beautiful sunsets outside in the porch swing, playing with his grandchildren, ending his evening with a good western or his favorite, bull riding. Bob was a true cowboy; he loved ranching, wide open spaces, beautiful scenery and he loved to travel.
