Carol Lynne Goggins, Age 74 of Flushing, MI, died September 5, 2013 with her family by her side. Services will be held 11 AM Monday, September 9 at Sharp Funeral Home, Swartz Creek, MI. Father Louis Ekka officiating. Visitation will be held 9-11 AM Monday. Carol was born November 26, 1938 in Flint, MI, the daughter of Howard and Freda (Parrish) Atherton. She was married to Thomas P. Goggins on September 22, 1996. She worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in Flint. She loved flowers, gardening, knitting and doing puzzles. She was a "Mother" to anyone who would let her be one. Surviving are: husband Thomas Goggins; daughter Kay (Michael) Mattar of Flushing, MI; son Craig (Victoria) Lemonds of Kalamazoo, MI; Step-children, David (Patti) Goggins of Flushing; Mike (Mariella) Goggins of Troy; Pat (Minerva) Goggins of Lansing; Dan (Sophia) Goggins, Renee (Don) Barkley, Brian Goggins, Brenda (Matt) Kierscht all of California; 19 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband Buel Lemonds in 1976; Sister Arlene Birkam; and brother Carl Atherton.
