Mr. Brian Ray Ward, 19, of Elk Park, died Saturday morning, March 25.
He was the son of Charles H. and Sharon Hoilman Ward. He was a freshman at Catawba College in Salisbury.
Survivors include one brother, one sister, paternal grandparents, and his maternal grandfather.
Services were held Monday afternoon at the Cannon Student Center on the Campus of Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk.
Reins-Sturdivant was in charge of the arrangements.
