MABEL C. McLAIN

Mabel C. McLain, 87, of Nevada IA, died Saturday, December 26, 1987, at Jensen Beach, FL.

Visitation will be Wednesday morning, Dec. 30. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Cooper-Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada with Rev. William Ballard of Nevada United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be at the Nevada Cemetery, Nevada IA.

Mrs. McLain was born January 26, 1900, at Ottumwa IA to Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Carr.

In 1917, she married Frank E. McLain in Nevada IA.

She was a homemaker and lived most of her lifetime in the Nevada area.

She was a member of the Nevada United Methodist Church and the O.D.O. Club.

Survivors include her husband, Frank E. McLain of Nevada; one son, Fred R. McLain of Nevada; two daughters, Catherine Newsome of Nevada and Mildred McLain of Nevada; one brother, Edward Carr, Sr. of Des Moines IA; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial has been established at Nevada United Methodist Church.
