Charles A. "Tony" Alexander, age 67 of Gallatin, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2013. Funeral Service will be Thursday, September 26th at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Dr. Larry Yarborough officiating. Interment will follow in Sumner Memorial Gardens with his children serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 25th from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at Family Heritage Funeral Home. Tony was born December 22, 1945 in Trousdale County. He is preceded in death by his father, Paul D. Alexander and sister, Paula Ann Alexander Troutt. He is survived by his wife, Sue Newby Alexander of Gallatin; mother, Rubye Anne Russell Alexander of Gallatin; children, Doug Alexander and Travis Alexander of Nashville, Jennie Alexander, Brandy Shrum (Jon) and Bobbie Newby of Gallatin, Kipp Compton (Jocelyn) of Murfreesboro and Marni Akins of Smyrna; grandchildren, Addison Shrum and Will Osborne; brother-in-law, Bill Troutt of Gallatin.
