Muncie - – Richard Dean "Dick" Morris, 80, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Bethel Pointe of Muncie, Indiana.

He was born on November 7, 1932 in Columbus, the son of Charles and Iva (Ault) Morris, graduated from Columbus High School in 1950 and served his country in The United States Navy from 1951 until 1955.

Dick moved to Muncie in 1971 to manage for Dunlap's Lumber Company and later managed for Furrow Lumber Company, retiring after several years of service.

He was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Brethren Church, enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting and was an artist, painting artwork on billboards and delivery vehicles to just name a few.

Dick enjoyed life and cared deeply for others. His affect on those he knew will be remembered and cherished forever.

Survivors include his wife, Eleva Mae (Acton) Morris, whom he married on December 4, 1955 in Kurtz, Indiana; two sons, Rick Morris (wife, Kelly) and Robert Morris (wife, Sandra); his six grandchildren, Dean Morris, Emily Bratianu (husband, Ion), Chelsea Morris, Ryan Morris (wife, Ashley), Rachel French (husband, Brock) and Jacob Morris; his three great-grandchildren, Constantin, Vintila and George Bratianu; two nephews, Larry Kelly and Lanny Kelly; a niece, Sue Gant; also surviving are numerous other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his eight brothers and sisters; and his parents.
