Charles John Kalberer was born in Schlierbach, Germany and named: KARL WILHELM KALBERER. He immigrated to the United States as a young boy of 10 yrs of age with his Father and Mother. When he came to the US his name was changed, I assume to sound more American. Charles was baptized in 1886.
Charles was career Military, raising in the ranks from Private to Captain in the years of 1900-1933.
Charles married Fannie Franklin in 1908 and to this marriage were born two sons; Karl Hubert (1909-1992) and Klem Franklin (1915-1997). Fannie died in 1917 of TB and Charles remarried in 1921 to Pauline Keller.
