He was the son of Wilson and Lucille (Pummell) Selby. On Apr 24, 1965, at First Baptist Church, St. Marys, he married Donna L. Zimmerman, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons: Brian (Tammy), St. Marys, Brad (Jill), New Bremen, and Brent (Shannon), Winfield, TN; and ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers: Robert and Ronald.
A 1960 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School, he was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam era. He was a retired auctioneer. Also, he had worked as a patrolman for the St. Marys Police Department, ODNR Division of Parks and as a fireman for the St. Marys City Fire Department. He was a member of Hillsdale Baptist Church, American Legion Post #323 and VFW post # 9289, all in St. Marys. His favorite pastimes include attending auctions and breeding and raising German Shepherds.
