Albert Blatt, a well-known and life-long resident of Kelleys Island, died suddenly Sunday at his home, aged 53 years, on months and 16 days. He had been employed by Lay Bros., at the island for the past 11 years, and took an active part in civic affairs three.
Surviving are his widow, Olive Lincoln Blatt; three daughters, Mrs. Melbourne (Elizabeth) McKillips, Kelleys Island, and the misses Eulalia and Marilyn Blatt, both at home; a son, Keith at home; four grandchildren; four brothers, Fred, of Sandusky, Daniel, of Toledo, Walter, of San Francisco, and Norman Blatt, of Kelleys Island, and a sister, Mrs. John (Sarah) Nolan, Toledo.
Mr. Blatt was a member of the Maccabees at the island.
Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the residence on the island with the Rev. H.D. Kern, officiating. Burial will be in Kelleys Island Cemetery. Arrangements are in charge of the Charles J. Andres Sons' Funeral Home.
