Julie Askew was called home by her Father in Heaven on March 16, 2001. She was courageous to the end, sharing her sweet spirit with all she came in contact with.

Julie was born in Westwood, New Jersey on August 15, 1969 to John D. and Lael Kunz Askew.

She lived in New Jersey, California and Utah. She graduated from Brighton High School in 1987, where she was a charter member of the bell choir. She had a beautiful singing voice and loved to sing.

She is survived by her parents; brothers and sisters, Scott and Carol Askew, Amy Bishop, Charles and Traci Askew, Jane and Gary Denning, Danny and Kristi Taylor Askew; grandmother Nellie Kunz; 14 nieces and nephews; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Many thanks to the caregivers and residents of South Valley Health Center in West Jordan that were her family and loved her for the last five years.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 20, 2001, at 11 a.m. in the Corner Canyon Third Ward, 13366 South 1300 East, Draper, Utah. Friends and family may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Monday evening from 6-8 p.m., or at the ward on Tuesday one hour prior to the funeral. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy.
