Esther M. Comer, age 69, of Hammond, passed away Saturday, June 14, 1980 at St. Margaret Hospital. Survivors: one daughter, Mrs. Beverly (Will) Richards of Dyer, one son, Sam C. (Janet) Comer of Schererville; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Miss Opal Lewis of Buchanan, Mich., Mrs. Agnes Cox of Klamath Falls, Ore. Preceded in death by her husband, William E. Sr. and two sons, William E. Jr. and Richard G. Sr.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 18, 10:30 a.m. from the Bockten Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Ave., with the Rev. Laverne Easton, of the Woodmar Church of God, officiating. Burial, Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home Monday, 7 to 9, Tuesday, 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Mrs. Comer had been a resident of the Calumet area for 50 years. A member of the Woodmar Church of God.
