Dr. Arnold, a physician, died at his home Friday. He was born Dec. 29, 1873, in Vandalia, Ill., to Joshua and Sarah Arnold. He married Lyda Eulora Clement in Greenville on Oct. 5, 1902. She preceded him in death in 1952.
A member of the Central Christian Church, Dr. Arnold was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, Woodmen of the World, and Knights of Pythias. He was a Greenville city health officer for 43 years.
Survivors include a grandson, Bailey Arnold Birdsong of Austin and a daughter, Mrs. Bailey Birdsong of Austin. He was preceded in death by five brothers and six sisters.
