DOROTHY MAE McBRIDE, 87, of Huntsville, Missouri died Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Moberly Regional Medical Center. Dorothy was born November 14, 1925 in Pleasanton, Kansas the daughter of Walter and Martha Carroll. She married John Medcalf and he preceded her in death in October of 1961. She married Carl McBride on May 21, 1966 in Huntsville.

Dorothy was a graduate of Pleasanton High School class of 1944. She was a credit manager for 20 years for Montgomery-Wards Department Store and after retiring she worked for Missouri Power & Light for several years. Dorothy was member of Huntsville United Methodist for 60 years, the Order of the Eastern Star for over fifty years, and 2007 Huntsville Woman of the Year.

She is survived by her husband Carl of the home, two nieces, and others. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Walter C. Carroll, sisters Emma McMillon and Mary Carroll.

Visitation is Monday, September 9th, with an Eastern Star Service at 7:00 p.m., at the Patton Funeral Home in Huntsville. Services Tuesday, September 10th at the Patton Funeral Home with burial in Huntsville City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Huntsville United Methodist Church.
