FRANK COMER
The funeral for Frank Comer, of Route 2 Box 183, Opelika, will be today, Sunday, February 10, 1985, at 1 PM at A. M. E. Zion at the Hill Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with the Rev. Robert Devoise officiating.
Mr. Comer died Thursday, February 7, at East Alabama Medical Center. He was born in Lee County, and was a member of A. M. E. Zion at the Hill Church, a class leader, and a member of the Board of Stewards. He was also a member of the B. C. Stevens Chapter of the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Comer, Opelika; six daughters, Olivia Jones, Elms Ford, NY, Betty Comer and Martha Chaney, both of Atlanta, GA, Barbara Parker, Fort Bragg, NC, Gloria Torbert, Tuskegee, and Gladys Fitzpatrick, Houston; six sons, A. C. Comer, Pensacola, FL, Willie Comer, Pleasantview, NY, Frank Comer Jr., Raymond Comer, and Daniel Comer, [all of] Opelika, and Sentha Fitzpatrick, Tuskegee; one sister, Patsy Reynolds, Benton Harbor, MI; 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
